Hello and welcome! I’m Sara, the founder of home and family-based HiPooch Daycare and Boarding. I have cared for pets my entire life. Currently, as a dog parent myself, I’ve experienced firsthand the joys and challenges that come with caring for our furry family member.
One challenge, in particular, struck a chord with me—the scarcity of accessible daycare and boarding services in the Tri-Cities, especially for larger dogs who require ample space to roam, play, and exhaust their boundless energy. Noticing this gap, and understanding the crucial need for a reliable, loving environment where dogs can thrive, not just stay, I was inspired to take action.
Our mission at HiPooch daycare and boarding is simple: to provide a home away from home for your beloved pooch; a place where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor play, the comfort of large indoor space to receive care like their own home, and the joy of being part of a loving pack. We ensure our pooch guests get the exercise, socialization, and cuddles they deserve.
Over time, I noticed the need to receive support from like-minded individuals who have specialized training in canine care. That’s why depending on how busy our day is, I have developed a community of care givers who would join HiPooch daycare and boarding to share the responsibility of care for our pooch guests.

Our operation follows the “A Code of Practice for Canadian Kennel Operations, Third Edition, 2018” which is the Canadian standard for dog daycare and boarding operations,
All our care givers, including myself, have gone through multiple dog safety and handling trainings such as DogSafe Canine First Aid, treatment and prevention of dog aggression, etc.
