1. Introduction

Welcome to HiPooch Daycare and Boarding! These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and efficient environment for all our furry guests and their owners. By utilizing our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms, which govern HiPooch Daycare and Boarding's relationship with you in relation to this service.

2. Admission Requirements

2.1 Vaccinations: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations for Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), and Bordetella. Proof of vaccination must be provided upon enrollment and updated as necessary. Our guests should be free of fleas and parasites. We require dog parents to ensure regular de-worming and flea medication administration.

2.2 Health: Dogs must be in good health and free from any contagious illnesses. Owners must certify their pet’s health and behavior upon admission. Guests who show signs of diarrhea, vomiting, green or yellow discharge from eyes or nose, unusual sneezing or coughing, ticks or worms will not be accepted or will be immediately sent home.

2.3 Behavior: Dogs must be non-aggressive and not aggressively food or toy protective. Owners will need to certify their pet’s behavior.

3. Services and Fees

3.1 Services Offered: Detailed descriptions of our daycare, boarding, and additional services are available on our website at “www.hipoochdnb.com/services” URL and all fees and services are as per website description.

3.2 Fees: All fees are due at the time of booking or purchasing the service. Prices for daycare, boarding, and additional services are subject to change as updated and posted on the website at “www.hipoochdnb.com”.

4. Reservations and Cancellations

4.1 Reservations: Advanced booking is required to ensure a spot for your dog.

4.2 Cancellations: Please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. Less than 24 hrs notice of cancellation will be subject to 50% charge of the booked service(s). No-show without notice will be subject to 80% charge of the booked service(s) charge.

5. Drop-off and Pick-up

5.1 Times: Drop-off and pick-up times must be adhered to as specified in your service agreement. You should book your pick-up drop-off at least 24 hrs in advance. Pick-up for boarding and daycare is between 6:30 am and 8:00 am. Drop-off for boarding and daycare is between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Pick-up time for hike and walk is 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Drop-off time for hike and walk is 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. You will receive a text message 15 mins before arrival of our staff for pick-up and drop-off service; Please be at the meet up location 2-3 mins in advance and ensure access to the parking spot is available.

5.2 Late show-up/Pick-up: Boarding and daycare latest pick-up time is 6:00 pm. There will be $10 charge per hour (or portion of time) up to $65 for that day. Hike and walk pooch guests latest pick-up time is 3:00 pm. There will be $10 charge per hour (or portion of time) up to $65 for that day. For pick-up and drop-off our staff will stay at the location for up to 10 mins from the time they arrive and let you know via text message.

6. Health and Safety

6.1 Emergencies: In case of an emergency, HiPooch Daycare and Boarding will attempt to contact the owner immediately. If the owner cannot be reached, the emergency contact will be tried. In case of no response from the owner or the emergency contact, HiPooch Daycare and Boarding reserves the right to seek medical treatment for the dog at owner’s expense.

6.2 Liability: HiPooch Daycare and Boarding will not be liable for any health or behavioral issues that develop in your dog while at our facility or care. The owner understands that dogs may be unleashed at nature which may expose the dog to a range of risks such as coming in contact with wildlife, being lost in nature, or getting injured. The owner must inform HiPooch Daycare and Boarding if they want to opt out of nature hike and walks.

7. Personal Property

HiPooch Daycare and Boarding is not responsible for loss or damage to any personal property left at the facility, including but not limited to dog’s items such as toys, bedding, etc.

8. Media Release

By agreeing to these terms, you grant HiPooch Daycare and Boarding the right to take photographs or videos of your pet dog for use in promotional materials, including but not limited to social media and our website, without compensation.

9. Modification of Terms

HiPooch Daycare and Boarding reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes agreement to the new terms.

10. Lost or Stolen Dogs

10.1 In the unlikely event that a dog becomes lost or stolen from HiPooch Daycare and Boarding facility or while at HiPooch Daycare and Boarding care, we will immediately notify the owner and take all reasonable steps to locate and retrieve the dog. This includes, but is not limited to, contacting local animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and utilizing social media platforms.

10.2 HiPooch Daycare and Boarding commits to maintaining a secure environment to prevent such incidents; however, in the unlikely event of a lost or stolen dog, HiPooch Daycare and Boarding will not be liable financially or by any other means.

11. Health Issues Developed at Daycare

11.1 If a dog develops a health issue while under the care of HiPooch Daycare and Boarding, we will take immediate action to provide for the dog’s care, including administering first aid and/or taking the dog to a veterinarian if necessary.

11.2 The cost of treatment for health issues that are clearly attributable to the dog’s stay at HiPooch Daycare and Boarding shall be covered by the owner in its entirety. This may include health issues that are pre-existing, congenital, or that the daycare could not have reasonably prevented.

11.3 Owners must disclose any pre-existing health conditions or concerns at the time of admission. Failure to do so may relieve HiPooch Daycare and Boarding of any financial responsibility for related medical treatment.

11.4 HiPooch Daycare and Boarding reserves the right to require a veterinary examination at the owner’s expense if a pre-existing condition is suspected to be the cause of a health issue developed at daycare.

12. Indemnification

12.1 The dog owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless HiPooch Daycare and Boarding, its employees, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or resulting from the dog’s attendance and participation at the daycare, except for incidents of gross negligence or willful misconduct by HiPooch Daycare and Boarding.

13. Agreement to Arbitrate

13.1 Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms and Conditions or the dog’s stay at HiPooch Daycare and Boarding shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

13.2 The parties agree to bear their own costs and attorney’s fees associated with the arbitration process.

13.3 These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in British Columbia, Canada.

14. Entire Agreement

14.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between HiPooch Daycare and Boarding and the dog owner regarding the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior understandings, both written and oral, regarding such subject matter.
